Marilyn Lester is a producer and playwright, currently a Managing Director at the Duke Ellington Center for the Arts/Theater Development Initiative.
Marilyn is also a scriptwriter, script/dialog consultant, dramaturg, and writer/author/editor.
In addition, she is a communications specialist with a wide range of experience across multiple disciplines, including journalism, market research, advertising, public relations (writing, pitching and story placement, press liaisons, and campaign management), new media, and publishing.
Marilyn also worked in television development with the late, legendary producer Alvin Cooperman and scripted training films and videos, ad campaigns and new media presentations.
Marilyn has authored/co-authored and edited several books.
